Sustainability

Solar energy refers to technologies that convert the sun’s heat or light to another form of energy for use.

In today’s volatile climatic landscape, it is vital for manufacturing industries to reduce their dependence on fossil fuels and work towards carbon neutrality. At Jupiter, our aim is to increase efficiency of manufacturing operations by optimizing different renewable energy sources.

The way forward is not simply for governments to impose environmental restrictions on industry but rather lies in a coordinated effort between the scientific community, practical innovation and government policy.

Jupiter is one of the few label manufacturing companies in India to have almost a 80% reduction in traditional electricity consumption by means of a complete solar production project at our manufacturing facility in Bangalore. Although a significant investment, we believe that it is a small price to pay to secure the future of our planet. Our geographical position in the subcontinent greatly enhances our kW production numbers, and this translates into some of the highlights below :

Net Power Generation = 21000 kWh per month
Net CO2 reduction = 240 tons per year
Net Coal saving = 20 tons per year
Trees saved = 12,215 per year
